There is a long scientific explanation as to why you want to track macros but to simplify the answer it is so that you can actually lose fat while dieting. On high carb days you will consume more calories, and on low carb days will consume less. High carb days promote muscle growth and help you perform at your best, while low carb days encourage fat loss. There are many other types of carb cycling out there such as a low day, medium day high day and even a super carb day, but for someone just getting started if you have lost weight and have stalled in progress this basic tweak in your diet might place you back on track. Intermittent fasting IF is a term for an eating pattern that cycles between periods of fasting and eating, it is not a diet, but an style of eating that makes our bodies more efficient. Intermittent fasting has helped people to lower blood pressure, decrease cholesterol and decrease inflammation. There are about five different methods, but these three seem to be the most popular. This seems to be the easiest method of fasting and most will find it easiest to fast through the night and into the morning. They usually break the fast roughly six hours after waking up.

It allows me to live on the road and stay shredded to the bone without much effort and with very few dietary restrictions. My IF Carb Cycle diet allows me to eat most foods, within reason, and of course, within a certain time. Some weeks, I may have donuts three days or more! But you can get pretty close with just a little bit of discipline. And my IF Carb Cycle is just the discipline you need. When you fast is up to you — you can fast from 10pm to 2pm the next day, 8pm to noon, midnight to 4pm, whatever you want. This method allows for maximal fat loss while still giving you the ability to build muscle.

When it comes to diet body composition, carb and calorie cycling is the diet to go. Or, carb days when you have to work late or are traveling and know you won’t have and time for food, and when you won’t be exposed to much carb, you can make intermmittent your low-carb days. Fasting you have my permission to be harsh on yourself! To continue losing body fat after this happens, turn one moderate-carb day each week into a low-carb intermittent. Got it! Anyone who knows anything about building muscle knows that it takes protein to do it. Cycling nothing this day, and do not go to the gym. While fasting, you can drink water, black coffee and plain green tea. This is a side effect that we love, wnd as busy people, we all know the value of a few extra minutes!
